Why Genoa?
Genoa, the vibrant heart of Liguria, invites you to dive into a world where centuries-old history blends with modern vitality. As a former powerful maritime republic, the city impresses with its labyrinthine historic center – the largest in Europe – where narrow Carruggi alleys lead to hidden squares and sumptuous palaces. Explore the revitalized Porto Antico, a hub for culture and entertainment, and savor Ligurian cuisine: fresh Genovese pesto, crispy focaccia, and freshly caught seafood at lively markets. The Genoa province stretches from the azure Riviera to the green Apennines, with highlights like glamorous Portofino and the colorful Cinque Terre, where trails offer breathtaking panoramas. Whether discovering underwater worlds in the famous Aquarium, strolling through UNESCO-protected palaces, or simply feeling the sea breeze – Genoa promises adventures for all senses.
